With Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby coming up this weekend, it's natural that thoughts turn to such things as margaritas, mint juleps and Pimm's Cups. And while those are great drinks, there are other summer cocktails that D.C. mixologists can consider more of a signature beverage (Gina Chersevani's gnome water creations come to mind). When it comes to outdoor drinking, are you a purist, or is there one particular restaurant creation that you turn to during the warmer months? This week's Open Thread asks, "Which Restaurant Makes Your Favorite Summery Cocktail?" Share the location and the beverage of choice in the comments section, or just send a note to the tipline.
