1) U Street: Sweetgreen's latest location has opened adjacent to the WYMCA in the Jefferson 14W development. It is the largest restaurant to date from the salad purveyors. There are 60 seats inside, along with an additional 20 seats on an outdoor patio. There is also a juice window selling the company's sweetpress line of juices. The YMCA and Sweetlife share an upstairs kitchen that will be used for the company's sweetgreen in schools program. It's a big week for Sweetgreen, whose Sweetlife festival is scheduled for this weekend. Status: Opening today. 1325 W St. NW; website.
2) Logan Circle: Bart Vandaele's long-awaited B Too restaurant opened last night in Logan Circle. Here's a tour of the space, with its cowhide accents and pseudo-scandalous bathrooms. The Belgian restaurant from the Cheftapestant seats 175, with a waffle bar, a Josper oven and specially commissioned ceramic work. There are mussels, grilled dishes, frogs legs and more. Status: Certified open. 1324 14th St. NW; website.
3) Logan Circle: Another official 14th Street debut came last night with Ghibellina, a restaurant from the team behind Acqua Al Due. Eat More Drink More attended a soft opening event and found a solid salad, a hearty pasta and some pizzas. Partner Ari Gejdenson told Eater the food is "traditional and straightforward," with dishes like bisteca alla fiorentina, ribolita and more. Status: Opened last night. 1610 14th St. NW; website.
