Taco Time: Chupacabra's Soft Opening is Today

Another successful transition from food truck to brick and mortar location is complete. The soft opening for Chupacabra's restaurant at 822 H St. NE is scheduled for today, according to Facebook. The grand opening is Monday.

Chupacabra will offer food with Caribbean, South American and Mexican influences, as well as gluten-free and vegan offerings. Expect guacamole, salsas, fried yucca with chicharrones, soups and salads, as well as plenty of tacos, according to a press release.

The restaurant is also planning chef specials, including Cubano sandwiches and shrimp cocktail with gazpacho sauce. Matt DiGangi is the executive chef. Status: Soft opening today. 822 H St. NE; website.
