Del Campo's going strong, so now it's finally Taco Bamba time. Victor Albisu's anticipated restaurant will open in Falls Church June 17, the chef announced today.
The taco counter dishing out street food will be located at 2190 Pimmet Drive. It's a small space with an open kitchen just down from Albisu's mother's Plaza Latina food market. There's a bit of dine-in seating, though the emphasis is on carry-out.
On the menu: both traditional and "nuestros" tacos. The former will be familiar choices like barbacoa and al pastor, while the second category will be creations of Albisu's, whether they be a BLT taco with tomatillos or a spicy shroom creation. The Not Tacos menu has options like burgers and quesadillas. Additionally, the restaurant will be open for breakfast.
