Protein Bar, Extreme Pizza Both Open

1) K Street: Protein Bar opens its third D.C.-area location today at 1011 19th St. NW. The restaurant is 2,600 square feet in size and includes a full catering kitchen so that Protein Bar can provide that service to surrounding businesses. The restaurant features the chain's well-known bar-ritos and salads, soups and similar items. The chain gave out 51 free burritos today for the first customers in line. 2) Pentagon City: Extreme Pizza has opened another D.C.-area location in Arlington (there is one in Vienna), according to ARLNOW. The pizza chain serves up pizzas with cutesy names like "Green Envy" and "Poultry Geist". The restaurant has a gluten free option as well. Status: Certified open. 1419 S. Fern Street; website.
