Shake Shack Making Progress; Fried Chicken at Eamonn's

PENN QUARTER— Shack attack! Penn Quarter Living observes construction for the Shake Shack adjacent to the Spy Museum seems to be close to wrapping up, though workers were still tight-lipped about an opening date. [PQL]

ALEXANDRIAJackson 20 will salute summer with a barbecue this Friday. The restaurant will be serving up summer cocktails, suckling pig tacos, fried chicken and more, with live music from the Yacht Rock tribute band, Three Sheets to the Wind. ARLINGTON— Customers already know they can fry fish & chips: next up, chicken. The Eamonn's on Columbia Pike is starting a Fried Chicken Night on Mondays. Starting at 5:30, customers can take home a whole or half fried Amish chicken ($18 and $9 each) with a choice of sauces. [EaterWire]
