The Mosaic District will get the addition of a new, health-focused restaurant in 2014.
True Food Kitchen, part of Fox Restaurant Concepts, has been looking around the D.C. area with real estate broker Tom Papadopoulos for some time. The restaurant was developed in conjunction with Dr. Andrew Weil, who promotes an anti-inflammatory diet. It will serve salads, pizza, salmon, spaghetti squash casserole and other items, with a local bent to the ingredients.
The restaurant will open in summer 2014, according to Mosaic Developer Edens. It joins such other restaurants as Matchbox, Red Apron and Taylor Gourmet at the Virginia development. This will be the first True Food Kitchen in the D.C. area.
