Arcuri opened about two weeks ago in Glover Park, serving up such dishes as wood-fired pizza and homemade limoncello. The restaurant's chef, Dick Jones, has an impressive resume, having cooked at such places as New York's Locanda Verde. What does D.C. think of his cooking? Here's what the first bloggers, Yelpers and others are saying about Arcuri.

The Mind-Blowing Mozzarella Sticks News: Arcuri is currently earning five stars on Yelp, with six reviews filed. One is from Steve W., who says "This place is fabulous!...We tried the Gorgonzola and quattro formaggi were both excellent. The fried mozzarella sticks are like nothing you've had before. The space is very inviting and the staff is quite friendly. This is definitely one of the best places in Glover Park (and stacks up well beyond Glover Park)." {Yelp]

The Solid Service News: Yelp's Christopher H. says, "You would never guess by the service that they just opened a few days ago, they are running like a well oiled food was fantastic, this place definitely lives up to the hype, a great addition to the Glover Park dining and drinking scene!" [Yelp]

The Pizza News: Robert M. says "I have a new favorite pizza place, and they are not yet fully open!...The pizza is wood fired with a thin crust and it us done just right. I will be back often." {Yelp]

The Holds Up as Leftovers News: On Facebook, user Jay says, "Great pizza & chow! Just ate leftovers for breakfast! Refreshing cocktails, awesome draft list (something for all tastes), carefully chosen wine list, attentive service. Great to see Tym S. behind comfortable, wide bar. Go!" [FB]

The Return Customer News: Also on Facebook, Amy says, "Just had a delicious dinner at Arcuri and already thinking about going back! The gorgonzola, balsamic, apple and speck pizza was amazing, and the wine and beer lists were great, too. Can't wait to try the limoncello, tap prosecco and soon-to-be-added entrees!" [FB]

The Chill Vibe News: Brightest Young Things' preview says, "When you're welcomed into a restaurant with two frozen shot glasses and house-made limoncello, you've likely found your new neighborhood hangout. Arcuri, located at 2400 Wisconsin Ave across the street from the Glover Park Whole Foods, is just that, an unpretentious spot serving pizza and drinks that the owners truly care about." [BYT]

The Specific Pizza Recommendation: Thrillist suggests, "The delicious wood-oven-roasted Gorgonzola bianco w/ speck, apple, and balsamic is available in a 10in or 14in size." [Thrillist]

The Anonymous Rave: An Eater commenter says, "I give this place a thumbs up. It's a fun little spot with some good eats." [-EDC-]
