chads.jpg1) Rockville: An outpost of Chick-Fil-A is opening in Bethesda. The Rockville Nights blog reports the location will open Aug. 22 in the Montrose Crossing shopping center. [PLYWOOD]

2) Friendship Heights: Chadwicks in Friendship Heights is switching its name to Chad's. The owner and staff remain the same. A post on Don Rockwell says this was due to confusion with the other, unaffiliated Chadwicks locations. [POST-PLYWOOD]

3) Farragut Square: Au Bon Pain has signed a lease for 801 17th St. NW, in the Lafayette Tower building, according to an email blast from brokerage firm Miller Walker. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

4) Gaithersburg: Ruth's Chris Steak House has signed a lease for the Downtown Crown development, according to the Washington Business Journal. It will open next year. [PRE-PLYWOOD]
