1) Alexandria: A second location of Vaso's Kitchen is in the works for old town. The restaurant is bound for 1118 King St., where Bistrot Lafayette used to be, Patch reports. A July opening could happen. [POST-PLYWOOD]
2) Columbia Heights: A Mexican and Salvadoran restaurant called El Atardecer is slated to open in the old DC Fish Carryout space, New Columbia Heights reports. A liquor license application says the restaurant will have 60 seats and 29 patio seats. [PLYWOOD]
3) Atlas District: Ben's Chili Bowl has been planned for H Street for awhile. WBJ finally spots a permit for the building at 1001 H St. NE, which they bought a couple years ago. DCist follows up: the restaurant could open in about eight months. [PLYWOOD]
