Zentan has received a menu makeover from new chef Jennifer Nguyen and it's now ready for prime time. The revamped restaurant will show off its new selections beginning July 29.
Nyguen, a veteran of such places as Morimoto and Ozumo, is bringing more of a Japanese influence to the pan-Asian Kimpton restaurant. That means additions like sake, robata, cook-at-the-table hot plates, nigiri and James Bond-themed maki.
Much of the new menu involves shareable items, including white fish ceviche, hamachi sashimi and bacon-wrapped mushroom skewers with ponzu sauce. There are also a number of hot dishes like kalbi skirt steak soft tacos. Fans of 007 can try maki rolls like the octopussy or the golden eye. At lunch, the restaurant will serve dishes such as pho, duck reuben and banh mi. Twenty-five types of sake, plum wine and shochu are available, too. The restaurant debuted a new roof top pool with a special menu a few months ago.
Here's a draft menu, though the Kimpton team is still working on formatting and may make some other changes.
