Chef Antonio Burrell Leaves Redwood in Bethesda

Bethesda's Redwood restaurant is in search of a new chef. Antonio Burrell, who came to the wine bar from Masa 14, has left the restaurant. Here's a statement from Redwood:

"While Antonio is no longer serving as Executive Chef, he remains a friend of Redwood and we have the highest respect for his cuisine. Currently, the menu is still predominantly Antonio's food and the daily kitchen operations are being run by our Executive Sous Chef, Lamont Mitchell, while we conduct interviews to find the next chef to bring their own style to the seasonal American menu." No word yet on the chef's next move.
