Juan Romero to Bring Four Types of Guac to El Centro 2

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

The second El Centro D.F. is slated to open in Georgetown this August and chef Juan Romero intends to introduce some new menu items to the restaurant, from spicy crab guacamole to skillet fajitas.

The restaurant is opening in the former Third Edition space. There should be room for 81 diners on the first level, 65 on the second and 44 on the patio. Brie Husted is handling the design, which is inspired by traditional Mexican towns.

El Centro has found fans in Logan Circle for its tacos and other Mexican dishes, but the Georgetown one will have some new food items to offer. There will be four types of guacamole, including bacon and tuna tartare, as well as braised Mexican dishes, and octopus tacos. More than 200 tequilas will be sold at the restaurant, priced anywhere from $7 to $150 (flights will be available, too, along with house-infused tequilas in flavors like cucumber watermelon).
