Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

1) Adams Morgan: Falls Church kebab house Meat in a Box had the soft opening for its second restaurant over the weekend. The new spot is called Meat In a Box (Plus Did Someone Say Pizza???), and like the name indicates, serves pizza in addition to the kebabs and falafel that the restaurant is known for. A grand opening date has not yet been revealed. Status: Softly open. 2005 18th St. NW.; website.

2) Adams Morgan: Also to the neighborhood comes Libertine, a cocktail lounge and bistro. The bar will boast a large absinthe selection (with about 30 varieties), craft beer, cocktail flights and more. Brent M. Sick is the executive chef (he worked for Wolfgang Puck in Florida), and Morgan Tramontana is managing the restaurant. Architectural touches dating back to the 1800s can be found throughout the restaurant. Tramontana worked with PS7's veteran Lauren Whitledge on the food and cocktail menu. Status: Opening tomorrow at 5 p.m.. 2435 18th St. NW.; no website yet (here's the Twitter account).

3) Potomac: Baltimore favorite Attman's Deli opens its doors today. "Let the corn[ed] beef flow," Tweets the restaurant. Looks like plenty of people showed up for the soft opening. Status: Opening today at 11 a.m. Cabin John Shopping Center, 11325 Seven Locks Road, Potomac, Md.; website.
