Guest Chef at Churchkey; Author Tribute at Jaleo

LOGAN CIRCLE— On Monday, Max Mackinnon, co-owner of Pistou in Burlington, Vermont, will appear as a guest chef at Churchkey. He's a friend of Kyle Bailey's. He'll prepare a selection of a la carte dishes, from fish crudo to pastas, for $12 and under. Bailey and the Neighborhood Restaurant Group crew are making a trip to Vermont later this fall to appear at his restaurant. [EaterWire]

PENN QUARTER— This weekend, Jaleo is offering a special menu featuring recipes from the late Penelope Casas' cookbooks. The author was known for introducing America to Spanish cuisine.
