Now for a look inside the new El Centro D.F., the Georgetown spin-off of Richard Sandoval's 14th Street location. Located in the former Third Edition space, the taqueria and tequileria will seat approximately 160 diners. As Sandoval mentioned earlier to Eater, the two restaurants share a designer, and a similar look. For the Georgetown location, Brie Husted incorporated vaulted ceilings, reclaimed wood, and custom murals with metal, wood, and Mexican newspapers — all inspired by Mexico City. And instead of a roof deck like the 14th St location, there's a large garden patio with room for 55 guests, featuring a bar and a fire pit. The menu will be similar too, although Chef Juan Romero is bringing a few new dishes to the Georgetown location, and four different kinds of guacamole. No firm opening date yet, but a rep tells Eater the restaurant is slated to open within the next week. — Adele Chapin
