Atlas Brew Works Will Debut Around Town in September

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

It's almost here. Atlas Brew Works, D.C.'s next major brewery, has scheduled its launch week for September 2-8. That basically means D.C. residents won't have any excuse to miss the debut — they're going to schedule a different event in a different neighborhood each night.

The brewery from Justin Cox and Will Durgin will premiere three beers at first: the Rowdy rye ale, the District Common and the NSFW (which is going to be a surprise). They have a new brewer on staff, Dan Bedford, whose resume includes stints at Flying Dog and England's Bristol Beer Factory.

No schedule yet for the Northeast brewery's opening events, but Eater will keep readers posted.
