Nate Anda on Heart Sausage; Firefly Loves Kids

DUPONT CIRCLE— It's good to be a kid at Firefly. A member of Tom Sietsema's chat raves about their experience bringing a toddler to the Kimpton restaurant. He got a clean high chair, crayons, a sugar cookie decorating kit, a plastic cup with a straw, mac and cheese and lots of attention. Who says higher-end restaurants can't be child-friendly? [WaPo]

CLIFTONTrummer's on Main is doing another pop-up event in the restaurant's Gallery Room. From Sept. 17-Oct. 31, the restaurant will serve Austrian wine and beer in honor of Oktoberfest. [EaterWire]
