Mike Isabella clearly doesn't get a lot of sleep. The latest: the chef is bringing a version of his recently-opened Greek restaurant Kapnos to Arlington.
Kapnos Taverna will be located at 4000 Wilson Blvd., occupying close to 5,000 square feet of space in Ballston. According to a press release, there will be 185 seats, a huge bar and a patio. Kapnos Taverna will offer 10 cocktails on tap (the bar program will be overseen by Taha Ismail), whole roasted meats and other menu items developed from a trip to Greece that the team is planning next spring. The dishes will pull from such regions as the Cyclades, Peloponnese, Thessaloniki, Ionian Islands and Crete.
Tom Sietsema reports that Isabella is also planning to write a proposal for a Greek cookbook. Kapnos Taverna will open next summer.
