Restaurant Eve Makes Changes, But Lickity Split Stays

Ok, time for a big sigh of relief. Restaurant Eve may be overhauling its bar, bistro and Tasting Room into one single restaurant. But one bar-centric special isn't going anywhere: the restaurant's beloved Lickity Split lunch special, one of the best deals in town.

"The Lickity Split stays or there would be a riot!" joked co-owner Meshelle Armstrong to Eater, calling the two-course, $14.98 deal "the best introduction to Eve for those who have never been." That said, plenty will change at Eve. Tom Sietsema reported earlier that, come Oct. 21, the restaurant's new structure will include an la carte section with eight appetizers and eight main courses, as well as tasting menu options of five or seven courses. The restaurant will operate as one 90-seat entity, allowing chef Cathal Armstrong to streamline the menu.

The look of the place will be more as the Tasting Room used to appear, and Armstrong is planning to be at the restaurant essentially full-time now that chef de cuisine Jeremy Hoffman is leaving.
