The bidding starts at $10,000 for the sign for Georgetown's now shuttered The Guards. The Washington Business Journal explains that the owners of Italian restaurant Rialto, the new tenants of The Guards space, are auctioning off the historic bar's signage on eBay. A portion of the proceeds will go to D.C. Central Kitchen, and be quick, because there's only six days left. Meanwhile, Rialto's opening date is slated for September 26. [WBJ] — Adele Chapin
