Chris Ford to Bouchon Bistro; Rarities from Flying Dog

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

FREDERICK— Local(ish) brewery Flying Dog has announced its 2014 Brewhouse Rarities. The intriguing beers were chosen out of about 40 different pitches from the staff. Look for a Mint Chocolate Stout, a Mango Habanero IPA and more. [Official Site]

CHEF SHUFFLES— Pastry chef Chris Ford, who worked in D.C. before heading to Pabu and Wit & Wisdom in Baltimore, has an impressive new gig. The chef will relocate to Beverly Hills to act as pastry chef for Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bistro/Bakery. [EaterWire]

GLOVER PARK— Looks like the Glover Park Sushiko is no more. PoPville noticed a "for lease" sign on the original location this week, and Tom Sietsema said as much in his chat today. No response yet to Eater's request for additional info on the shutter (the restaurant closed in July but was expected to reopen). [PoP, WaPo]
