Today's the day. A revamped and remodeled J&G Steakhouse debuts to the public. The restaurant within the W Hotel downtown has added the new Bar 515 upstairs, where martinis will be the specialty, and bar bites such as crab fritters and tartare sliders will be served. Philippe Reininger continues to oversee the menu at the Jean-Georges Vongerichten restaurant, while John Leinhardt is the hotel's new general manager.

The new design comes from Elemental Interiors. The addition of the upstairs bar means the downstairs wine bar can be used for private events more frequently. The new look provides more seating, an abstract rendering of the Capitol's dome and dramatic lighting fixtures. Status: Reopening today. 515 15th St. NW; website.
