Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

1) Potomac: Fish Taco has opened its doors in Cabin John. The taco joint is from the owners and chef of Food, Wine & Co. Tom Sietsema has some early details — chef Eddie Moran is assisting with the opening, putting out such dishes as octopus tacos, frozen margaritas and tacos stuffed with grilled grouper or swordfish. Status: Opening today. 7945 MacArthur Boulevard; website.

2) North Potomac: Bethesda Magazine brings word of the opening of Nantucket's Reef, located at 9755 Traville Gateway Drive, where Stella's used to be. New England-style seafood is the main attraction here, whether it be fried clams or raw oysters (fried lobster tail and ribs also grace the menu). The decor, unsurprisingly, has a seafaring theme. 3) Takoma: Here's a new addition for caffeine lovers in Maryland. La Mano coffee opens its doors today. Freelancer Nevin Martell tweets news of Ceremony coffee, hand pies and a hand-painted mural on the walls. The restaurant's website lists sweet and savory goods, as well as complementary sides, on the menu. Status: Opening today. 304 Carroll St. NW; website.
