Peter Smith Resurfaces at Newton's Table

New, 4 comments
Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Peter Smith, longtime chef of the former PS7's Restaurant in Penn Quarter, has a new gig. The chef and restaurateur has been named co-executive chef for Newton's Table, Dennis Friedman's Bethesda restaurant.

Friedman is just about to launch Newton's Noodles, the fast-casual outfit of his Asian-influenced restaurant, downtown. According to a press release, Smith will oversee the day-to-day operations of Newton's Table as Friedman prepares to launch the new spot later this month.

The pair have a history together. Friedman staged at Vidalia when Smith was cooking there. The chefs plan to team up on new menu items, though Friedman's popular Fuzu noodle dish isn't going anywhere.
