Shipping containers were the construction material of choice when it came to El Rey, the bar and taco joint which opens today courtesy of the Hilton brothers, Eric and Ian. The 3,100 square foot space has been more than a year in the making, and it will serve up tacos, tequila and Mexican and South American varieties of beer. Primary colors dominate the design, which features a long bar, a retractable roof and a takeout window for those after a quick taco fix. Jorge Pimentel is the man behind the food.
