Poste is embracing local beer, and then some. The Kimpton restaurant has decided to use all eight of its tap lines for local (and local-ish) brews. Right now, the taps are featuring Atlas Brew Works' District Common, Yuengling, DC Brau's Public, 3 Stars' Southern Belle, Lost Rhino's New River Pale Ale, Flying Dog's Truth Imperial Pale Ale, Port City's Porter and Evolution's Secret Spot Winter Ale.
The move comes just after Poste collaborated with 3 Stars Brewing Company on a beer made from beer grown in the restaurant's garden, including chocolate mint and lemon balm. The brewery used the ingredients to make three different cask brews, which were available beginning New Year's Day.
The local efforts are the brainchild of Poste's beverage director Kaine Gish. More collaborations with 3 Stars are expected in the future.
