Baltimore's Heavy Seas Alehouse is still on track to open its Rosslyn location by mid-February, according to a rep.

The bar, soon to be located at 1501 Wilson Blvd., will be similar in many ways to the Baltimore location, which emphasizes both food and beer. In Baltimore, Heavy Seas is located in an old historic building, with lots of brick and wood throughout. Though the Rosslyn location won't have that history, the design will incorporate brick, mortar and wood, while still embracing more of a modern nautical theme.

Some of the menu items in Arlington will be the same, but since the Virginia location will have a wood-burning grill, that will allow the restaurant to branch out a bit in the food department. Heavy Seas' Baltimore menu features a mix of fun bar food, like Korean chicken wings, with more elaborate dishes like rabbit fettucine and roasted sea scallops. There are several vegetarian choices, too.
