Month Will End With Opening of Ted's Bulletin Reston

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

It looks like Ted's Bulletin's Reston location should squeak by with a January opening. The third location of the comfort food chain (from the owners of Matchbox) is aiming for a January 30 opening in Reston Town Center.

This is the first Virginia location of Ted's, which is known for its homemade pop tarts, alcoholic milkshakes and diner staples like country fried steak. Like the other Ted's locations, this restaurant will be made with repurposed materials, with an oversized projection screen showing cartoons and 30s and 40s television shows. There's room for 151 people in the dining room, along with a semi-private meeting space and an 17-seat bar. They'll add a large patio in the spring.

The menu, from chef Jacob Hunter, will be most of the same dishes as the other Ted's locations, with each restaurant offering its own daily specials. Think dishes like a walk of shame breakfast burrito, short rib sandwiches, meatloaf and more. The bakery program will mirror the D.C. locations, and the restaurant will have daily theme nights, like Monday pasta night.
