Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are five choice dining events and promotions going on around the city:
1) East Side King Toki Takeover

What:They're here. Paul Qui, Moto Utsunomiya, and Jorge Luis Hernandez of Austin's beloved street food restaurant East Side King are taking over Toki today. Lines were reaching out the door during lunch, so expect crowds to be heavy at dinner time as well. They'll be serving up dishes like karaage fried chicken and beef tongue steamed buns. No reservations — it's first come, first served.
Update: A rep says waits have been about 45 minutes long or less on average so far, and they're in no danger of running out of food. The staff is taking cell numbers so people don't have to wait in the cold outside.
2) Sips & Suppers
When: Saturday for Sips, Sunday for Suppers
Where: Sips is at the Newseum; Suppers is at 29 different chef homes.
What: The annual benefit for Martha's Table takes place this weekend. Sips is the more affordable option, with tons of area mixologists coming together for a party at the Newseum ($95). Meanwhile, higher rollers can purchase tables at one of 29 chefs homes for private dinners. More about those (some are sold out) here.
3) Meat Week Kick-Off

What:DC Meat Week kicks off at Urban Barbecue this Sunday. Check out the event's website for other events scheduled throughout the week as well.
4) Burns Night at Jack Rose
When: Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
Where:Jack Rose

What:Jack Rose pays tribute to Scottish poet Robert Burns' birthday with special pours in the whiskey cellar, along with poetry readings. The Going Out Guide also has a roundup of other Burns-related events this weekend.
5) Vegan Restaurant Week at Teasim

What:Teaism is going all vegan with its Alexandria Restaurant Week offerings this time around. Get three courses for $35.
