Joe's Seafood [Photos: R. Lopez]
Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab will bring a taste of Florida to D.C. come Friday, when the restaurant group will open its first Washington location. Marble columns, neutral colors and even (gasp) white tablecloths, a rarity these days, are all incorporated within the multi-level restaurant's design.
The restaurant has a mix of bar, private, booth and table seating. Tall ceilings, eye-catching chandeliers and hanging artwork are all focal points within the restaurant at 750 15th St. NW, as well as the mezzanine-level private dining rooms. The 14,000 square foot restaurant, designed by Gensler, is one of D.C.'s largest.
Local chef Billy Klein, along with executive chef executive chef Chris Morvis, will be responsible for the food at the restaurant, which serves up steaks, seafood, bar food, salads and a beloved rendition of key lime pie. Here's the D.C. menu. The restaurant is part of the Lettuce Entertain You restaurant group, which is also responsible for such restaurants as Maggiano's and Wildfire.
