Industry Night's Anniversary Bash; Ovvio Chef Exits

PENN QUARTER— Mike Isabella's Industry Night party is going to be particularly nuts on Monday. In honor of the event's first anniversary, he's opening up Graffiato's second floor and inviting Top Chef alumns Jennifer Carroll and Angelo Sosa, Victor Albisu, Scott Drewno, former Bourbon Steak chef Adam Sobel and more. MERRIFIELD— Merrifield's new Italian restaurant Ovvio Osteria has lost its chef. Chris Watson has left after a disagreement with management. He tells Tom Sietsema he's worried about the restaurant dropping its standards, though the ownership says this isn't happening. [WaPo]

GLOVER PARKSprig and Sprout is doing a celebration for the Vietnamese Tet, a weeklong festival celebrating the "Feast of the First Morning of the First Day." For the restaurant's January Supper Club, the decor will be over-the-top, with big lanterns, dragons and other details. They'll serve an eight-course dinner with such dishes as banana leaf-wrapped sticky rice cake, twice cooked crispy chicken and more. The event is $50, with seatings on January 13 and 20. [EaterWire]
