There's now a timeline for when Eric Ziebold will leave the critically-acclaimed CityZen restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental hotel.

A spokeswoman for the hotel confirms Ziebold's last day at the restaurant will be December 6. "Eric Ziebold has been a vital contributor to the success of our hotel and the brand and we wish him the best in his new venture," she said via email.

The hotel plans to launch a new signature restaurant concept sometime in the coming year, though no immediate details were available.

Ziebold is leaving CityZen to open his own restaurant near Mount Vernon Triangle. News of his plans was revealed in August. The Mandarin Oriental opened a new, more casual restaurant called Muze almost a year ago.
