The spectre of closing continues to haunt Jay’s Saloon in Arlington, but the Clarendon bar keeps hanging in there. In January of 2014, the Post revealed that Jay’s is on a month-to-month lease while developers look at the lot where the bar has stood for over 20 years. Jay’s might be the last of its kind in squeaky clean Clarendon. Owner Jay Jay Moore is happy to describe the dive bar as "someplace you can just roll out of bed, come in in your sweats, don’t have to do your hair or makeup." [WaPo]
