1) National Geographic Harvest Festival

Where: 1145 17th St. NW

When: Saturday, starting at 10 a.m.

What: The museum is hosting an all-day food festival in conjunction with the new exhibit, FOOD: Our Global Kitchen. There will be cooking demos, food samples, crafts, contests and more. More info here. It's free.

2) Nightmare on M St. Bar Crawl

Where: Dupont Circle

When: Saturday starting at 5 p.m.

What: Get drink discounts on more than 33 Dupont bars, from Maddy's to McFadden's. More info here. Tickets are $30; there will be costume contests and other festiveness.

3) Spice Dinner at 2941

Where: 2941

2941 Fairview Park Drive, Falls Church

When: Sunday, reservations from 5-8 p.m.

What: Chef Bertrand Chemel and Lior Lev Sercarzfor (founder of La Boîte biscuits & spices) are teaming up for a $70, multi-course spice dinner. There are spicy cocktails, too. More info here.

4) Tour de Fall

Where: Jack Rose

2007 18th St. NW

When: Saturday, starting at noon.

What: Jack Rose is teaming up with New Belgium for this carnival-style event. There's a tap takeover, carnival foods, games like "guess your weight in beer" and more. The event is free.

5) STK Monster's Ball Halloween Brunch

Where: STK

1250 Connecticut Ave. NW

When: Sunday, reservations start at 11:30

What: Want to dress up like a witch and have some steak and eggs? STK's Monster's Ball Halloween-themed brunch includes an Instagram costume contest and more.
