Intrigued by the recent news about Filipino restaurant Bad Saint, coming to Columbia Heights. Diners can get an early preview of what's to come at a pop-up event in early November.

The team, including chef Tom Cunanan, will head to Dolcezza's Union Market location on Nov. 9. The merienda pop-up is designed to represent the snack-style menu that is served between lunch and dinner.

Expect dishes like sauteed mung bean noodles, sweet potato and shrimp fritters and lumpiang shanghai, the famous spring rolls of the cuisine. Items will be priced $5-$8. Dolcezza will get into the spirit by serving Filipino-inspired flavors of gelato.

Bad Saint is expected to open sometime this winter.
