Denizens Brewing Company, the latest beer-focused addition to Silver Spring, is launching tours of its brewing facility this weekend.
Tours are offered both Saturdays and Sundays; spokeswoman Taylor Barnes says the brewery hopes to eventually add weekday tours as well. The tours are small — capped at ten people — and last an hour, ending with a small group tasting of five of the brewery's beers.
Initial tours will be held at 1 2:30, 4 and 5:30 p.m. "It's a really in-depth tour of the brewery," she said. "Since it's a small group, everyone can interact with the tour guide, ask questions and really understand the process."
Denizens is currently offering eight beers on tap. The brewery fills both its own growlers and other growlers, and recently opened its downstairs seating area. Food is from the affiliated restaurant, BBQ Bus at Denizens Brewing Company.
