1) Falls Church: Plaka Grill will open where Cosi used to be at 513 Broad Street, according to the News-Times. There is an existing location of the Greek restaurant in Vienna. The article also notes a sports bar called The Locker Room is opening about a block away at 502 Broad Street. It also looks like the Liberty Tavern team is considering opening a restaurant in the neighborhood; the owners declined to comment further on the possibility to Eater. [PLYWOOD]
2) Various Locations: Several restaurants are in the ideas phase, courtesy of a new restaurant crowdfunding site called EquityEats. Young & Hungry reports would-be restaurants include Bluebird Bakery from husband-wife team Husband-wife team Tom Wellings and Camila Arango, American restaurant Sussex Drive from Adam McFarland and Amy Troutmiller, fish market Albright Special and lobster and burger restaurant Lighthouse.
