1) Falls Church: Plaka Grill will open where Cosi used to be at 513 Broad Street, according to the News-Times. There is an existing location of the Greek restaurant in Vienna. The article also notes a sports bar called The Locker Room is opening about a block away at 502 Broad Street. It also looks like the Liberty Tavern team is considering opening a restaurant in the neighborhood; the owners declined to comment further on the possibility to Eater. [PLYWOOD]

2) Various Locations: Several restaurants are in the ideas phase, courtesy of a new restaurant crowdfunding site called EquityEats. Young & Hungry reports would-be restaurants include Bluebird Bakery from husband-wife team Husband-wife team Tom Wellings and Camila Arango, American restaurant Sussex Drive from Adam McFarland and Amy Troutmiller, fish market Albright Special and lobster and burger restaurant Lighthouse. No locations are set in stone yet. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

3) Gaithersburg: A location of Ted's Montana Grill will open at the Downtown Crown development. The lease was just announced; it will be about 5,000 square feet in size. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

4) Old Town: Greenleaf Juicing Company is interested in opening at 1309 King Street, Patch reports. They're going in front of the planning commission next month. [PRE-PLYWOOD]

5) Penn Quarter: China Chilcano is inching closer to opening; the José Andrés restaurant, expected to open this fall, is hiring. [POST-PLYWOOD]

6) Brookland: Elevation DC has some more details on Gin Rummy (formerly Little Ricky's). It will be a lounge and open around December 1. Same chef, though. [PLYWOOD]

7) Northeast: The owners of Boundary Road are looking to open up a place at 2214 Rhode Island Ave, NE, according to PoPville. It will be a Mediterranean-influenced neighborhood bistro. [PLYWOOD]

8) Alexandria: An Eater tipster noticed signage for Mason Social coming to Alexandria. A Don Rockwell poster says it's bound for the former Esmerelda's space at 728 N. Henry space, but no details were available. There's a Facebook page, but only a logo there right now. [PLYWOOD]
