Mackie's Bar and Grill has opened in Alexandria. A user on Don Rockwell said the opening was earlier this month, though the place started off with a limited menu.
The restaurant's website lists such menu items as French onion soup, escargot, pork chops, surf and turf and dry-aged steaks. Steak in general seems to be the focus. They also have Monday Night Football specials, happy hour and more. Status: Certified open. 907 King St. NW; website.
