Asian-inspired tacos are nothing new to D.C., but Asian-inspired tacos from Toki Underground's Erik Bruner-Yang are another matter entirely.
The chef is headed to Taco Bamba tomorrow to debut his creations during dinner service. Options will include Amara's Taco (chorizo laab, crispy beef tendon for $4) and the Nak-Yang flautas (creamy queso beef tendon with chorizo laab for $6). They'll be on the menu through Nov. 16.
The taqueria is also selling $3 Mexican skull sugar cookies from pastry chef Tiffany MacIsaac from Buttercream bakeshop, as well as candy, in honor of Day of the Dead this week.
