Just in time for the basketball and hockey seasons, Verizon Center has some new offerings and menu items available to attendees, including a new seafood stall.
Capitan Ahab's, located in Section 120, is serving up such items as fish and chips, shrimp and chips, a seafood po' boy and a crabcake sandwich.
Other stands have new menu items. The Power Grill (located in several sections) has a new grassfed burger, while Sandwich District in section 110 has corned beef or pastrami on rye, as well as a build-your-own salad station.
About 50 percent of the stadium's beer offerings will be seasonal or local this year, including brews from Star Hill, Flying Dog, Goose Island and Blue Point, according to a spokeswoman. About 90 percent of stands will have 15 flavors of canned beers to try to make craft beers easier to find.
Aramark handles the main-level concessions, while Levy handles club and suite levels. Changes to Levy's menu items were revealed last week.
