1) Novemberfest

When: Saturday 12-5 p.m.
What: Neighborhood Restaurant Group beer director Greg Engert will pour 52 drafts, 5 casks, six botttles and 14 November debut beers at this beer festival, from all over the spectrum. They'll also be serving up dishes like "chicken tendies," fish and chips, half smokes and fried mac and cheese. There will be music from local bands and a costume contest. 2) Truckerboo

When: Today starting at 11 a.m.
What: Truckeroo gets some Halloween flair today with more than 15 food trucks, hot chocolate and cider, trick or treating at the trucks, costume contests and more. More info here.
3) Day of the Dead Hangover Brunch
Where: Republic
6939 Laurel Ave. Takoma Park, Md.
When: Saturday 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
What: Republic's Saturday brunch will feature live music from The Moon and You, plus Mezcal and Bloody Mary drink specials, beermosas, a "Day of the Dead" burger and more. Important to note: The restaurant is also hosting a pirate-themed party on Friday evening.
4) Pepita Pop-Up
Where: G Sandwich
2201 14th St. NW
When: Friday and Saturday from 6-9 p.m.
What: Mike Isabella will be previewing dishes from his upcoming Mexican restaurant Pepita at G this weekend (also Nov. 4-5 and 7-8). They're serving a four-course meal for $40 as well as several a la carte dishes. Find items like posole verde with pork belly, al pastor tacos, cauliflower enchiladas and more. There will be cocktails to match.
5) GraveYards
Where: YardsPark
355 Water St. SE
When: Saturday 6-10 p.m.
What: Yards Park becomes a beer garden tribute to the undead, with live music, street performers, beer, a celebrity "grave yard" and more. Admission is free.
