1) Merrifield: Ted's Bulletin has opened in Mosaic District. Here's Eater's pre-opening tour. The menu is the same as the other locations of Ted's, though the restaurants recently introduced a new fall menu with an appetizer section and some lighter dishes. They're serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as Ted's famous nightly specials. Status: Opening today. 2910 District Ave. Fairfax, Va.; website.

2) Merrifield: Also at Mosaic District, B-Side opened Saturday night. This is the new bar from Neighborhood Restaurant Group, adjacent to Red Apron. There are similarities to The Partisan, with a meat-focused menu, cocktails named for classic B-Side records, lots of lambrusco and more. Here are some early details. Status: Certified open. 8298 Glass Alley Suite 105 Fairfax, Va; no website yet.

3) Palisades: Bistroquet has opened its doors. Looks like (via Facebook) the restaurant wrapped up soft-opening days at the end of September, and is now serving its full dinner menu. Items include cassoulet, steak au poive and some Asian-influenced dishes like cabbilaud with crab fried rice. Status: Certified open. 5100 MacArthur Blvd.; website.
