Matthew Zagorski is the new executive chef at Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar. A Pennsylvania native with more than 15 years of restaurant industry experience; he is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute for Culinary Arts. Zagorski comes to D.C. from Cuba Libre Restaurant & Bar’s flagship Philadelphia location, where he was trained under Concept Chef Guillermo Pernot. He replaces Jason Kaufman.
At the D.C. outpost of Cuba Libre, Zagorski's menu will work to illustrate the diversity of Cuba. Expect to find beef, poultry, pork and seafood dishes featuring exotic fruits and vegetables, herbs and seasonings that are representative of Cuba's culinary traditions. His new menu will be put in place later this month.
