Curious about Pepita, the Mexican restaurant Mike Isabella plans to bring to Ballston next year? Diners will get a sneak peek at the cantina from October 30-Nov. 1 and Nov 4-5 and 7-8 at Isabella's G Sandwich restaurant.
The pop-up comes in the form of a $40, four-course meal. It's available alongside a la carte cocktails from Pepita. Here are the planned menu items:
Sikil pak with pumpkin seed, jalapeno, orange, cilantro
Posole verde with pork belly, green chile, cabbage
Wild striped bass ceviche with green tomato, persimmon, marisol pepper reduction
Al pastor tacos with pork shoulder, pickled pineapple, jalapeno
Crispy mahi mahi tacos with chipotle, avocado, cabbage, lime
Cauliflower enchilada with poblano, chickpeas, cream, cilantro, red chile sauce
Empanadas with chihuahua cheese, charred tomatillo salsa
Pepita Margarita (silver tequila, Cointreau, clarified lime, house smoked salt)
Mezcal Mule (mezcal, ginger beer, lime juice, blood orange, cucumber)
Palomita (reposado tequila, lime, agave, grapefruit cinnamon soda)
Picante de la Casa (silver tequila, habanero, hibiscus, lime)
Caballo (mezcal, green chartreuse, tamarind falernum, lemon, shiso leaf)
Cocktails will be priced from $11-$13. Vegetarian menus are available upon request, and reservations are recommended.
