The Washington DC Jewish Community Center in Dupont Circle is revamping their kosher food options, starting with a pop-up from Soupergirl that begins Monday, November 17 and runs through December 31. Soupergirl's vegan hot soup, pre-packaged soup, salads and side dishes will be available at the DCJCC’s cafe on Mondays through Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m., and on Fridays from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Soupergirl is under the strict Rabbinical supervision of Rabbi Shmuel Herzfeld.

Then in January, the DCJCC will unveil Silver Crust, their new kosher cafe from Josh Katz of Silver Spring's kosher Ben Yehuda Pizza. Silver Crust's menu will include pizza, pasta, salads and sandwiches. All food and products will be prepared in accordance with Rabbinical Council of Greater Washington (Vaad). Silver Crust will offer "grab and go" options for those who don't want to eat in the cafe. Silver Crust's hours are slated for 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Fridays.

The DCJCC is located at 1529 16th St. NW; website.
