Will Artley didn't disappear from the scene for long. After leaving Pizzeria Orso last month, the chef has resurfaced for a pop-up dinner in Alexandria.

For three nights beginning Dec. 1., Artley will host Amalia's Fancy, a pop-up located within Tres Hermanas. He's teaming up with a friend, Travis Hester, on the project.

Artley says growing up, he'd ask what his mother was cooking and she'd reply, "Botanas para los preguntones" ("snacks for the inquisitive"). Amalia's Fancy aims to capture that idea with 11 dishes, including an ancho-crusted tuna with fermented cactus, Korean short rib tamales and more.

They'll offer three seatings each night. The menu is $75 per person. Reservations can be made here.
