Big news for Ballston — they'll be getting another restaurant from Chef Mike Isabella. But for this one, chef Jonah Kim will be doing the cooking.

Kim, a veteran of Michael Mina's now-shuttered Pabu in Baltimore, will cook up dishes like donburi and ramen for lunch at Yona. At dinner, there will be Korean-influenced small plates (including Korean fried chicken), steamed buns, kimchi and more.

The restaurant will be in 4000 Wilson Blvd. (the same building as the upcoming Kapnos Taverna and Pepita restaurants from Isabella). It will open next spring.

Kim's move to DC isn't a complete surprise — the chef has been cooking at pop-up events like Anju and culinary competitions here since he left Pabu.

Kapnos Taverna will open later this winter and Pepita is shooting for early 2015, according to a press release.
