Et Voila!'s 'Stretch Your Belly' Party; Bill Cosby's Status at Ben's Chili Bowl

Velocity Five's Falls Church location is closed, the Chez Le Commis pop-up is back and the band Wilco gives a hand to DC Central Kitchen.

PALISADES—Need to get a practice round in before Thanksgiving feasting? Et Voila! is hosting their second annual "Stretch Your Belly" party from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26. The $29.95 feast will offer unlimited Blue Bay mussels with cream, endive, sweet potatoes and dry vermouth paired with Belgian fries and Affligem blonde ale, or carbonade a la flamande, a traditional Belgian sweet-sour beef and onion stew paired with Belgian fries and Gouden Carolus. SCANDALWIRE—The Washington City Paper wants to know if Bill Cosby still eats for free at Ben's Chili Bowl, even though numerous rape allegations have emerged against the comedian. The answer is yes. "Cosby is part of our family," Vida Ali tells WCP's City desk. [WCP]

FALLS CHURCH—"For Lease" signage is up at the Falls Church location of Velocity Five, which closed back in September. A Facebook post from earlier in the fall states: "V5 Falls Church is closed after due to [sic] the lease expiring and will not renew it at this location. V5 is opening another restaurant in Chantilly in November." And a Velocity Five rep told Eater DC: "Our lease ended on September 17th and we decided to close it after 7 years." The Falls Church skee ball destination may be gone, but Velocity Five's locations in Arlington, Centreville and Sterling remain open. [EaterWire]
