Tazza Kitchen, a Southern chain devoted to wood-fired cooking with seasonal ingredients, is slated to open this month in South Arlington. Tazza Kitchen will add a location at 2931 South Glebe Road, in addition to their current outposts in Henrico, Va., Raleigh, N.C. and Columbia, S.C. The menu is heavy on pizza, with options like spicy chicken wings, brick oven crab cakes and steak and peppercorn potatoes.
And before the restaurant opens, they'll host a fundraising event for Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture this Saturday evening from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.. Tickets for the fundraiser are $20 and can be purchased online. The event will include craft cocktail demos, beer and wine tasting and samples of Tazza's wood-fired cooking and wood oven pizza, and guests will get to meet Tazza’s chefs.
